Mo'Fitter of the Month

I am not a huge believer in singling out one member at a time to honor them.  Mostly because you all work so hard, you all have your individual struggles and goals to work on, and most importantly you are all fabulous people.  However, I did not want to the summer to go by without mention of an outstanding young lady....
Let's all think back to when we were 18.  Summer time especially.  Without going into too many details, I think you all know where I'm going with this.  We may not remember all the details, but I am sure we can all say that we were not getting up at 5:30 am and heading to the gym with our mother.  Not only does she show up, she steps up to every challenge, increases her weights, pushes to the limits, and trusts in her coaches  when we tell her she can do it.  It has been an absolute pleasure to watch her turn in to a machine in these workouts.  Her drive and hard work has pushed all of us to go a little faster, a little harder, and not want to give up.
Aside from being an outstanding athlete and hard worker, Kate is an amazing person.  She is kind, respectful, smart, fun, and beautiful inside and out!  I think we all watch Kate and Teresa and hope that we can have that relationship with our own children.  Sad to say, Kate's last workout before she heads out to Holy Cross will be this coming Friday, August 24th at 6 am.  I would like to send her off with a fun a memorable workout- mo'fit family style, so here is what I am asking...

Please wear purple-the Holy Cross colors- and join us for a "fun" Kate style work out Friday morning at 6 am.  Even if you are a night or 9:30 am attendee, try to make an effort to get there for this workout.  If you have never seen Kate workout, it's worth the early morning trip (you can even just come to watch if your body doesn't work that early).  I'll pick up a couple of boxes of Joe if anyone wants to stick around for a coffee after.

Pictured below is Kate Kerrigan, with her parents, Teresa and Brendan, and younger sister, Mollie.  This was taken immediately following the team WOD this am.  Kate and Mollie showed no mercy as they cruised through the workout to beat their parents:)  Thank you to the Kerrigan's for allowing us to have Kate for the year...Mollie, you're next!!

Congrats Kate!!! I could not be more proud to have met you and your family. You are such an inspiration. I still remember when you ran the last lap of the MoFit 5K at Warde Track to help speed me up (after you completed your own 5K and cool down). You are an amazing young lady and I wish you all the best at Holy Cross.
